How to integrate an SSRS Report with MOSS 2007 in the SharePoint integrated mode

There are a couple of ways to integrate an SSRS Report with MOSS 2007. The simplest is to use the Report Viewer web part in the SharePoint integrated mode.

1. Ensure that MOSS 2007 is running in SharePoint Integrated Mode. This you can check in the Reporting Services Configuration Manager.
2. Install the Reporting Services add in for MOSS 2007.
3. Open Central Administration and verify creation of a new section called Reporting Services under Application Management.
4. Configure the same to refer to the Reportserver url.
5. Go to Site Actions for the top most level site. Navigate to web parts under Site Gallery. Click on New and browse for the Report Viewer web part . Click Populate Gallery
6. This web part is now available for use in your current site.
7. Edit a page and choose the web part from the Report Viewer web part gallery.
